πŸ“ Dramatic finishes

Scioto County • February 17, 2025

Good morning, Scioto County. In the final seconds of a basketball game, 2.1 ticks of the clock can feel like an eternity or a blink - just ask Tyler Roach. His clutch three-pointer turned what started as a 20-0 Rock Hill run into an unforgettable 48-47 victory for the Fighting Tigers, proving that in sports, like life, it's not how you start but how you finish.

Meanwhile, a different kind of drama is unfolding in the halls of the Southern Ohio Port Authority, where the plot reads more like a crime thriller than a public record. Robert Horton and his wife are facing charges in a bribery scandal that has more twists than a pretzel factory, involving shell companies, laundered money, and contracts that apparently came with some very expensive strings attached.

πŸ€ Tyler Roach's clutch three-pointer stuns Rock Hill with 2.1 seconds left. The Ironton Fighting Tigers overcame a disastrous 20-0 opening run by Rock Hill to claim a dramatic 48-47 victory in Ohio Valley Conference play. Trailing for most of the game, Ironton's comeback was led by Braden Schreck's game-high 26 points. The Fighting Tigers struggled early, shooting just 34% from the field, but their fourth-quarter surge of 15-4 set up Roach's heroic game-winner. Despite having three players score in double figures, Rock Hill (6-15) couldn't hold onto their early momentum against Ironton (14-7).
