Good morning, Scioto County. Behind every film reel of cherished memories, there's someone holding the camera, quietly preserving life's precious moments. Kenny Roberts was that someone for countless families across Ironton, his trusty camcorder capturing everything from touchdown passes to first steps. As our community mourns his passing at 80, his legacy reminds us that the most valuable inheritance isn't measured in dollars, but in the stories we leave behind.
Speaking of legacies and their impact, the Salvation Army is writing its own chapter of hope with a $140,000 grant aimed at keeping Kentucky families housed. While this news arrives alongside more sobering headlines from New Boston, it underscores what matters most in our community: protecting our most vulnerable and lifting each other up when times get tough.

📹 Beloved family filmmaker Kenny Roberts leaves lasting legacy at age 80. The Ironton, Ohio maintenance specialist-turned-memory-keeper passed away peacefully on January 13, leaving behind a treasure trove of captured family moments. Known for his ever-present camcorder at every family gathering, sporting event, and school play, Kenny documented his loved ones' lives with dedication and his signature chuckle. Beyond his passion for filming, he was a skilled mechanic who could fix anything with wheels and worked for years at Dawson-Bryant Local Schools. Kenny's greatest joy came from his family, including his wife Kathy, three sons, six grandchildren, and his brother Mike, who will celebrate his life this spring at Caroline Cemetery.
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.
