Good morning, Ross County. One hundred and twenty years of history stands proudly in downtown Chillicothe, where Globe Furniture celebrates more than a century as the last remaining department store in the heart of our community. As Seth Brown leads the fifth generation of family ownership through this remarkable milestone, the store's 60,000 square feet of showroom space has transformed into a living museum with "Time Capsule" displays chronicling American furniture evolution—a testament to entrepreneurial resilience in our changing downtown landscape.

The local housing market is showing subtle shifts as September's median listing price dipped slightly to $271,175, though Ross County homes continue moving faster than the national average at 47 days on market. Meanwhile, Chillicothe police tackled a whirlwind day on October 21, responding to multiple theft reports and suspicious activities across the city—from Dollar General to Homeland Credit Union—ultimately managing 15 cases before the day was through.
