Good morning, Ross County. Recovery heroes walk among us! Six local champions were recently honored at Bell Manor for their exceptional contributions to addiction and mental health support in our community. The seventh annual Recovery Celebration awards highlight these unsung heroes making real differences in people's lives—a timely reminder that sometimes the most important work happens quietly in our own backyard. Meanwhile, ODOT is seeking your thoughts on planned road reconstruction in Pike County, with proposals that won't disrupt local waterways.

For those seeking creative outlets, Ohio University Chillicothe's new Community Education Workshop Series offers the perfect opportunity to discover hidden talents. Local author Samantha Jones found her own inspiration when her father returned a childhood book, leading to her delightful new children's tale "Riley's Purple Adventure." And there's positive economic news too—Ohio's jobless claims have dropped to 4,622, mirroring a nationwide decline in unemployment filings.
