Good morning, Ross County. Talk about a whirlwind Monday for Chillicothe police! Officers tackled an astounding 26 incidents in a single shift, responding to everything from warrant arrests and domestic violence calls to a fatal crash investigation. Their action-packed day reflects the often unseen workload our local law enforcement handles while keeping our community safe, with many incidents still under active investigation.
Meanwhile, a celebration of healing hands is brewing at OU Chillicothe, where the nursing program marks an impressive 30-year milestone this October. Since 1995, over 500 healthcare professionals have launched careers through this vital local institution. And as summer winds down, our four-legged friends got their moment in the spotlight at the Chillicothe City Pool, where about twenty dogs turned the recently closed facility into a splashing paradise during a special end-of-season event.

The special event marked the official end of the pool's summer season, transforming the human swimming spot into a temporary doggy paradise. Captured by Destiny Torres of the Chillicothe Gazette, the aquatic adventure proved to be a "barking" success as pups enjoyed their rare opportunity to swim in the community pool.
