Good morning, Ross County. When it comes to busy days, Chillicothe's police force just had one for the record books. Officers responded to 11 incidents on July 19 alone, tackling everything from traffic violations to theft reports and a missing person case. The day unfolded like a police procedural, starting with a midnight citation and continuing through disorderly conduct complaints, a vehicle crash, and even criminal trespass at Walmart.
Meanwhile, baseball dominates the local sports scene with contrasting fortunes. Meigs Post 39 experienced the highs and lows of tournament play at Paints Stadium, while the Chillicothe Paints are stepping up to the plate for the community in a different way. Their upcoming Pixelle Employees Night will feature special mill-honoring uniforms and a generous $10,000 donation from Dr. Brian Cohen to support workers affected by the plant's closure—blending America's favorite pastime with hometown heart.
