Good morning, Ross County. Economic development in Southeast Ohio just gained a powerful new advocate with Gloria Blauvelt joining the OhioSE team. Her mission? To attract fresh business opportunities across the 25-county region, leveraging her impressive background in project management, leadership development, and policy advocacy. Her appointment signals continued commitment to driving capital investment and job creation in our corner of the Buckeye State.

While the economy evolves, nature offers its own economic miracle in the humble cucumber. This unassuming garden staple delivers remarkable nutritional value at just 30 calories per serving. Packed with vitamins K and C, potassium, and antioxidants, these refreshing fruits (yes, botanically they're fruits!) support everything from bone health to immune function. Their high water content makes them perfect for summer hydration – though those with certain health conditions might want to enjoy them in moderation.

🥒 Cucumbers pack a surprising health punch in just 30 calories. These refreshing fruits (botanically speaking) offer vitamins K and C, potassium, and antioxidants that support bone health, immune function, and hydration. Their high water content and fiber make them excellent for digestive health and weight management, while cucumber extracts can even soothe irritated skin. Though generally safe, people with digestive sensitivities, blood clotting disorders, or kidney issues should consume them in moderation due to compounds called cucurbitacins.
