Ross County • June 3, 2025

Good morning, Ross County. June 1st might set the record for the busiest Saturday in Chillicothe police history, with officers tackling 14 incidents in a single day. From midnight burglaries outside Roosters to late-night traffic stops, law enforcement navigated a full spectrum of community concerns including domestic disputes, drug complaints, and even public indecency cases—proving that summer weekends bring their own unique brand of activity to our streets.

Meanwhile, the Ross County Humane Society is taking practical steps to address animal overpopulation with their new low-cost sterilization program. For just $30-$50, residents can access spay/neuter services, vaccines, and microchipping specifically for cats and pit bull-type dogs. This initiative comes at a crucial time, as one local man faces up to 11.5 years in prison for allegedly violating protection orders—a stark reminder of the importance of community safety measures on all fronts.
