๐Ÿ“ฌ Mail mixup madness

Ross County • April 4, 2025

โ€‹

Good morning, Ross County. April has arrived with its traditional mix of changes and tomfoolery. The United States Postal Service is rolling out delivery timeframe adjustments this month that will impact millions, with some mail arriving faster while other deliveries may take an extra day. The $36 billion cost-saving plan begins implementation April 1stโ€”the same day local businesses embraced the spirit of mischief with creative pranks, from Grandpa Joe's fictional free butterscotch discs to a library's imaginary "Silent Spa" complete with pedicures.

Music lovers have reason to celebrate as "The Boys in the Band" bring their Alabama tribute show to the Majestic Theatre Friday night, with Nashville songwriter Alan Rhody opening the performance. Meanwhile, downtown Chillicothe continues to grow its creative footprint with the opening of Portagree Pottery at 19 West 2nd Street, where owner Tabby Allagree has blended family heritage with artistic opportunity, allowing visitors of all ages to throw and paint their own pottery creations.

๐Ÿ“ฎ USPS delivery changes will impact millions of Americans starting this month. The United States Postal Service is implementing a phased plan that will alter delivery timeframes, with some mail arriving faster and some slightly slower. Beginning April 1, certain areas may experience 2-3 day turnaround service within regions, while other post offices could see delivery extended by a day. The changes, which will save USPS $36 billion over a decade, affect various mail categories differently, with the next phase rolling out July 1. Customers can check expected delivery times using USPS's online zip code map.
