Good morning, Ross County. Local basketball talent is shining brightly as Unioto's Milee Smith claims first-team All-Ohio honors for the third consecutive year. The junior phenom's staggering 25.7 points per game average speaks volumes about her dominance on the court, while teammate Mya Hamilton joined the elite ranks with second-team recognition. Their combined talent has put Ross County basketball firmly on the state map.
Meanwhile, city chambers overflowed during a contentious council meeting on the proposed public camping ban, with fire officials responding to capacity concerns as citizens packed hallways to voice their opinions. Baseball enthusiasts can cast votes until March 31 for the preseason standout player poll, with regular weekly recognition to follow once games begin. And in a dramatic police pursuit, a dirt bike chase concluded with a failed railroad track jump – proving once again that train tracks and motorcycles rarely mix well.

The criminal complaint states McCants forced the child to endure two rounds of ice baths lasting 45 and 30 minutes, with pushups in between, causing the boy to vomit and seize. At the time of death, Jadako's core body temperature was just 74 degrees Fahrenheit—far below the normal 98.6 degrees. McCants faces felony child endangering charges with bond set at $50,000 as the investigation continues.
