Good morning, Preble County. In the powerful chords of resilience, a remarkable band takes center stage this Wednesday at the Dayton VA Medical Center. The Resilient, a rock group comprised mostly of combat-wounded veterans and amputees, offers more than just music—they embody their meaningful name through every note. This free concert, open to all, promises both stirring performances and candid conversation during a post-show Q&A session.

The rich tradition of family farming gets a fresh twist at the Butler County Fair, where Brian Garver's Liberty's Best serves as a welcome alternative to deep-fried fair staples. Meanwhile, Miami University continues reshaping its campus landscape with plans to demolish three buildings—Williams, Wells, and Joyner—as part of a broader $7 million revitalization effort. The changes align with the university's recently announced arena project, signaling significant transformation ahead for the Oxford campus.

🍽️ Family farm tradition serves up fresh alternatives at county fair. Brian Garver's Liberty's Best combines The Produce Stand and Farmhouse Grill at the Butler County Fair, offering a healthier alternative to typical fair food. The menu features breakfast items, creative mac and cheese bowls, fresh salads, and popular sweet tea that sold 90 gallons in just two days. A fourth-generation fairgoer himself, Garver started the stand after "looking for something that wasn't fried" during fair week. "It's part of our summer routine," says Garver, who sees the booth as serving friends and neighbors while continuing his family's agricultural legacy.
