Good morning, Preble County. A dramatic rescue unfolded Sunday when first responders waded into the East Fork Whitewater River to save a juvenile shooting victim beneath a Richmond bridge. The injured young person was transported for specialized care while police detained another juvenile suspect in what they're calling an isolated incident. Police Chief Kyle Weatherly has assured the community there's "zero tolerance" for youth gun violence, emphasizing there's no ongoing public threat.

Fishing enthusiasts have reason to celebrate as Mystic Lake opens to the public starting July 3 at Woodland Trails Wildlife Area, albeit with strict catch-and-release regulations. Meanwhile, summer spiritual enrichment awaits local families as Camden churches announce their Vacation Bible School programs—First Southern Baptist's "Magnified" exploration and Northside Chapel's "Truth Detectives" both promise engaging activities for children, while gospel trio Greater Vision brings their award-winning sounds to town on July 10.
