🎓 Smart town pride

Preble County • March 24, 2025

Good morning, Preble County. The latest Dean's and President's Lists from Miami University read like a local honor roll, with seven area students earning academic recognition for their exceptional work. Being ranked among the top 3-20% of students at an institution described as offering "Ivy League-quality education at a public-school price" is no small achievement—congratulations to these scholarly RedHawks making their hometown proud.

Meanwhile, as Green Beer Day approaches, one Miami senior faces the classic college dilemma: participate in the legendary spring tradition they've missed for years, or skip the revelry altogether. The choice between FOMO and comfort feels particularly poignant during one's final semester. In more serious news, Trotwood emergency responders were called to Salem Avenue early Sunday morning after reports of a pedestrian being struck by a vehicle, with details still developing around this concerning pre-dawn incident.
