Good morning, Powell. The legacy of a true education champion lives on in our community. Barbara Ann Boggs Holcomb's remarkable 96-year journey ended peacefully, but her impact continues through the high school library bearing her name and scholarship programs that will benefit students for generations. Her story reminds us how profoundly one dedicated life can shape an entire community's future.
As Union County prepares to celebrate America's 250th birthday with its innovative "Celebration Trail" project, three distinguished Cardington-Lincoln alumni are preparing for their own recognition. Patricia Flora, Jerry Crum (inventor of the million-selling Radiator Genie), and Rita Barton will join the school's Hall of Fame this May, alongside honorary alumnus Gerald Goodman. Their accomplishments showcase the extraordinary talent and dedication that continues to emerge from our local schools.
