Good morning, Portage County. Pedal power is reshaping Northeast Ohio as Shaker Heights transforms Lee Road with a $24.5 million Complete Street Improvement Project. The ambitious plan will reduce car lanes from four to three while adding dedicated bike paths, creating a safer corridor that extends into Cleveland with ADA-compliant ramps and enhanced streetscapes. Construction on this urban mobility makeover begins next year and continues through 2027.

Meanwhile, local authorities are turning to the community for help identifying a library thief captured on surveillance at Cleveland Public Library's Lorain Road branch. As that investigation continues, holiday enthusiasts can start planning for a more cheerful community gatheringβ€”St. Anselm's Christmas Boutique arrives November 8 featuring over 80 vendors for just $1 admission. Early birds can even participate in the "Boutique Bounce" between local churches for a chance at gift basket prizes.
