🚂 Historic riverbank project reopens Cuyahoga Valley railroad and trail. The $24.9 million stabilization effort, completed Monday, addressed erosion at eight high-risk sites along the Cuyahoga River. Crews built a 242-foot retaining wall near Peninsula and stabilized over 6,000 feet of riverbank using natural-looking solutions. Local contractors from Barberton, Akron, and Stow collaborated on the three-year project funded by the Great American Outdoors Act. Peninsula's mayor celebrated the reopening, noting plans to potentially extend rail service to Cleveland and Canton.
