Good morning, Pike County. A remarkable display of law enforcement efficiency unfolded last month when Chillicothe police tackled 10 separate cases in a single September day. From traffic stops yielding suspended license citations to responding to theft reports and trespassing complaints, our officers demonstrated their commitment to community safety even as several cases remain under active investigation.

Meanwhile, local athletic excellence continues to shine brightly on the regional stage. Adena's Vanessa Conley dominated once again at the Patty Forgey Invitational with an impressive 18:53.37 finish, while Unioto's boys claimed team honors with their stellar 16:47.31 average time. Away from the racing courses, hundreds gathered at Yoctangee Park's Kiwanis shelter house for a touching candlelight vigil celebrating the life of Charlie Kirk, a powerful reminder of how deeply individual lives can touch an entire community.
