Good morning, Pike County. Investing in the future takes many forms, as Homeland Credit Union demonstrates with its impressive $2,000 scholarships awarded to 23 students. This thoughtful approach—half in cash and half in a certificate earning 4.07% APY—not only supports immediate educational needs but also introduces young people to financial planning. The expanded program now includes trade school students, recognizing that success comes through many educational paths.

On the volleyball court, Chillicothe's dominance continues as the Cavaliers swept Unioto in straight sets, improving their record to an impressive 7-1. The community also bids farewell to a local legend as auto mechanic Jerry Moore leaves behind a legacy of cars, racing, and family. His passion for automobiles defined both his professional life and personal interests—a reminder that following our passions often creates the most meaningful legacies.
