🏛️ Heritage revival

Pike County • March 21, 2025

Good morning, Pike County. The architectural soul of our region is getting a preservation boost as R L Waller Construction expands its operations in Chillicothe. The historic restoration company is scaling up its manufacturing capabilities with support from a $25,000 JobsOhio grant, creating four new jobs while launching a specialized window preservation service. For communities rich in pre-1940s buildings, this investment represents more than business growth—it's a commitment to maintaining the visual storytelling of our shared heritage.

On a deeply troubling note, a Scioto County grand jury has indicted Kayla Williams and Sammy Nash on nine counts of child endangerment after their 9-month-old was discovered with multiple broken bones and other injuries. The infant and two additional children have been removed from the home as the couple awaits their April court appearance, reminding us of society's fundamental responsibility to protect its most vulnerable members.
