Pickaway County • October 1, 2025
Good morning, Pickaway County. The iconic blue-and-white Culver's sign will soon be more visible across Columbus as the beloved burger chain prepares to add three new locations to its Central Ohio footprint. Known for their ButterBurgers and frozen custard that inspires almost cult-like devotion, Culver's continues its strategic expansion with one restaurant opening next month and two more in development, including a spot on Dublin Granville Road that will make satisfying those custard cravings even more convenient.
In a striking contrast of celebrations and tragedy, Columbus Brewing's taproom is transforming into the festive "Tracksuit Taproom" through January 4, offering holiday cheer alongside their spiced Tracksuit Santa ale. Meanwhile, the Pickaway community faces heartbreak after 16-year-old wrestler Drace Johnson lost his life in a drunk driving accident. Circleville High School has made grief counselors available as students and staff process this immeasurable loss that reminds us how precious and fragile life truly is.

Culver's, known for its burgers and frozen custard, continues to strengthen its presence in Central Ohio through this strategic expansion.
πΊ Columbus Brewing's taproom returns with a festive holiday makeover. The popular West Side location, now called Tracksuit Taproom, reopens November 6 after closing in late 2023. Through January 4, the space will transform into an "over-the-top holiday experience" with themed decorations, music, and the release of their Tracksuit Santa spiced holiday ale. While food trucks will serve patrons initially, the taproom plans to eventually offer its own on-site dining alongside CBC's regular beers and specialty offerings. The taproom will operate Thursday through Sunday, complementing the brewery's daily Beer Hall location in the Trolley District.
