Good morning, Pickaway County. Mark your calendars, bibliophiles! The Columbus Book Festival is making its triumphant return July 12-13, transforming the Main Library and Topiary Park into a literary wonderland with 200 authors spanning romance to thrillers. Last year's event drew an impressive 40,000 attendees, and this summer's festival ups the ante with the welcome addition of cold beverages and beer—because nothing complements a good book quite like a refreshing drink.

In restaurant news, the Arena District's dining landscape has quietly shifted with the sudden closure of Nada after a decade of serving up what Reddit users called "consistently great" Mexican cuisine. Meanwhile, a more sobering development has emerged as Jewish leaders condemn a flamethrower attack at a Boulder rally supporting Israeli hostages. The FBI is investigating the incident as terrorism while community organizations emphasize that "violence, antisemitism, and hate have no place in our society."

The free event, scheduled for July 12-13 at the Main Library and Topiary Park, builds on last year's success that drew 40,000 attendees from multiple states. Featured authors span diverse genres, including romance novelist Anna Todd and thriller writer Gregg Hurwitz, with 120 authors appearing on panels and 80 more in the Indie Author Alley. Beyond author talks and book signings, visitors can enjoy performances, children's crafts, food trucks, and for the first time, beer and cold beverages.

🌮 Popular Mexican spot Nada quietly closes after decade in Columbus. The Cincinnati-based restaurant permanently shut its doors in late May at its Arena District location, with no public announcement made. The closure was reportedly sudden, with workers finding out just days before. Reddit users expressed disappointment, with one lamenting the loss of their "consistently great" chorizo queso. While the Columbus location is gone, Nada's original Cincinnati restaurant remains open for diners craving their classic Mexican fare.
