Good morning, Pickaway County. The 1970s are making a colorful comeback in Central Ohio! From Des Moines' upcoming "Mrs. Roper Romp" to Circleville's recent rain-soaked pub crawl, flamboyant kaftans and curly wigs are transforming downtown streets into nostalgic celebrations. These Three's Company-inspired gatherings aren't just about fashion statements – they're bringing communities together while supporting worthy causes like the Des Moines Food Bank through costume contests and karaoke festivities.

Meanwhile, as egg prices continue their upward climb, resourceful Circleville residents are turning to a time-honored solution right in their backyards. With local laws permitting urban poultry, more families are joining the millions of Americans raising chickens for their impressive egg production and educational benefits. From simple setups to elaborate custom coops, these feathered investments are proving that sustainability can be both practical and entertaining for households throughout our community.

🐔 Egg prices soar, and Circleville residents hatch backyard chicken plans. Thanks to local laws permitting poultry within city limits, more families are joining the 11 million U.S. households already raising chickens. These feathered friends produce an impressive 250-300 eggs annually, especially during warmer months, while also providing educational value for children. Beyond egg production, chickens contribute garden-friendly manure and teach kids responsibility. With setup costs ranging from a few hundred dollars to more elaborate custom coops, chickens may soon rival traditional pets in Circleville backyards.
