Pickaway County • April 23, 2025
Good morning, Pickaway County. Talk about community heroes! OhioHealth Berger Hospital volunteers clocked an astonishing 5,000+ hours of service last year, proving that some superheroes wear name badges instead of capes. These dedicated individuals aren't just greeting visitors—they're becoming the heartbeat of healthcare in Circleville, making a meaningful difference for patients and staff alike during challenging times.
April is shaping up to be an action-packed month around our area. While political tensions simmer with constituents planning to make their voices heard outside Rep. Mike Carey's office, history enthusiasts can escape to a completely different era at Ashville Community Park. The upcoming Viking Festival will transform our corner of Ohio into a living history wonderland complete with fire-breathers, jousting knights, and belly dancers—all for the noble cause of supporting local food pantries.

🗣️ Constituents demand to be heard by elusive Rep. Mike Carey. Indivisible Central Ohio is organizing a Congressional recess event outside Carey's Columbus office on April 22, 2025, after numerous unanswered meeting requests from Ohio's 15th district residents. If Carey and his staff continue to avoid conversations, protesters plan to picket with signs outside his office. The event, scheduled from 2:00-3:00 PM, aims to pressure the representative to fulfill his responsibility of communicating with constituents. Indivisible Central Ohio, a non-partisan group advocating for healthcare, social security, and human rights, welcomes media coverage of the demonstration.
