📍 River rollercoaster

Pickaway County • February 18, 2025

Good morning, Pickaway County. With water levels climbing faster than Netflix subscription prices, the Scioto River is putting on quite a show this week. As the river inches toward its 15-foot flood stage, Mother Nature's impromptu water feature has turned parts of Island Road into an unwanted waterpark - complete with one driver's harrowing ice-capade that fortunately had a happy ending.

On drier ground, the Adena Health Foundation is welcoming a new captain to steer its ship of community care. Laura Jo Hawk brings an impressive track record of turning generous hearts into healthcare wins, having already orchestrated a $13 million symphony of support for healthcare projects in northeast Ohio. Her vision for Pickaway County's health future sounds less like a prescription and more like a love letter to community wellness.
