🚀 High-tech cornfields

Pickaway County • January 22, 2025

Good morning, Pickaway County. Move over, Dukes of Hazzard - a real-life car jump over the Auglaize River this week proved that some stunts are better left to Hollywood. While our local daredevil survived his midnight flight to face impaired driving charges, it's a sobering reminder that life isn't a movie set, even if the scene sounds like one.

On a more uplifting trajectory, defense tech giant Anduril is preparing for a dramatic landing of its own in our community. Their planned manufacturing facility promises to create 4,000 jobs by 2026, potentially transforming our rural landscape into a high-tech hub. While some residents worry about growing pains, it seems our cornfields might soon be sharing space with cutting-edge defense technology - a plot twist worthy of a Silicon Valley storyline.
