Good morning, Perry County. As local government meetings fill up the calendar this month, Perry County residents have plenty of opportunities to witness democracy in action. From April 16-28, you can pull up a chair at school board discussions, county commissioner sessions, and village council meetingsβ€”all conveniently scheduled at municipal buildings throughout the county. Mark your calendars now to ensure your voice is heard in the community's decision-making process.

Meanwhile, a leadership transition is underway at the Perry County Board of Developmental Disabilities, with Caley Boyden stepping into the role of transitional assistant superintendent as David Couch prepares for retirement after 19 years of dedicated service. And on the hardwood, Maysville's basketball dominance continues with a commanding 70-17 victory over New Lexington, keeping their perfect league record intact with standout performances from Kirkbride and Sidwell.
