🐾 Tale of Two Teams

Perry County • December 20, 2024

Good morning, Perry County. πŸ€ Talk about a tale of two teams! While the New Lexington Panthers were busy making history on the basketball court with a jaw-dropping 63-14 victory (led by Chloe Dick's absolutely scorching 23-point performance), their football counterparts found themselves on the other side of a tough playoff battle against Indian Valley.Speaking of unstoppable performances, Indian Valley's Grady Kinsey apparently decided five touchdowns was a reasonable day at the office in their 42-23 regional semifinal win. It's been quite a week of Panthers vs. Opponents matchups, with one team roaring and another left licking their wounds. Read on for all the details about both games, including how the Panthers' basketball squad is holding teams to just 26.2 points per game (which, fun fact, is less than half of what they just scored in their latest victory), and how a crucial pick-six helped Indian Valley punch their ticket to next week's Regional Final against St. Clairsville.

The victory marks the Panthers' fifth straight home win and pushes their record to 3-3, while their defense has been stellar, allowing just 26.2 points per game. Meanwhile, Coshocton's struggles continue as they extend their losing streak to 27 games dating back to last season. Aaliyah Stanley also contributed significantly to the Panthers' success, adding 12 points to the team's season-high scoring total.

🏈 Indian Valley's Grady Kinsey scores five touchdowns in playoff victory. In a high-stakes regional semifinal matchup, Indian Valley Braves defeated the New Lexington Panthers 42-23 at a neutral site in Coshocton. The Panthers struck first with an early touchdown and two-point conversion, but Kinsey's dominant performance, including multiple goal-line scores, proved too much for New Lexington to handle. A pivotal pick-six by Rowan Piccin before halftime helped the Braves build a commanding 22-8 lead. Despite a late surge from the Panthers, Indian Valley's offensive firepower secured their spot in the Regional Final against St. Clairsville next Friday. The summary:- Opens with a football emoji to match the sports theme- Leads with a punchy first sentence highlighting the game's standout performer- Provides key game details and momentum shifts- Maintains excitement while delivering essential facts- Ends with the final outcome and next steps
