Good morning, Muskingum County. Mark your calendars for September 27, when Zanesville's historic half marathon returns, sending runners across our iconic Y-Bridge and through downtown. The event will transform our city center into a runner's paradise from 7 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., requiring significant road closures that motorists should plan around. Registration remains open on RunSignUp.com for both the half marathon and 5K races, offering fitness enthusiasts two ways to participate in this community tradition.

Fall festivities continue with the 174th Coshocton County Fair running September 26 to October 2, featuring an all-inclusive $15 daily admission that covers grandstand events and rides. The fairgrounds have added inclusive features like communication boards and adult changing stations this year. Meanwhile, in more sobering news, justice approaches for 67-year-old Phillip Norman, who faces up to 16.5 years in prison after pleading guilty to rape charges from a June incident, with sentencing scheduled for October 27.
