Good morning, Muskingum County. The sweet scent of buttered corn will soon fill the air as Millersport's 78th Sweet Corn Festival returns August 27-30, bringing four days of summer traditions from the grand parade to performances by Exile and the Oak Ridge Boys. While festival-goers celebrate, the Millersport Community Food Pantry's donation drive continues through August 25, turning summer abundance into community support for those in need.

Back-to-school season brings welcome news for River View families as all students will receive free breakfast and lunch this year through the Community Eligibility Provision. Meanwhile, the Renner Theater transforms into 1950s rural America with "Whistle Down the Wind," where local children mistake a mysterious fugitive for Jesus. This Andrew Lloyd Webber musical, featuring both veteran performers and newcomers, offers a poignant exploration of faith through a child's eyes—a perfect late-summer theatrical escape.
