Kim Foreman has been appointed as PCBDD's finance director, succeeding Caley Boyden who is transitioning to assistant superintendent. Boyden will eventually assume the superintendent role in 2026 following David Couch's retirement. Myrtle Ann McCoy

Myrtle Ann (Naragon) McCoy, 94, of Zanesville, passed away on June 11, 2025, leaving behind three children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Born on April 15, 1931, she was known for her love of adventure, family gatherings, and insistence on having her hair "just so-so." She spent her final years at home with the help of dedicated caregivers who became like family to her. A celebration of life will be held on June 28, 2025, at Gratiot United Methodist Church, where family encourages attendees to wear music t-shirts and perform acts of kindness in her memory.

Marcia Kay Bretzinger

Marcia Kay Bretzinger, 85, passed away on June 16, 2025, at her residence after being born in Winchester, Indiana in 1939. A JCPenney employee for many years, she enjoyed the Cincinnati Reds, traveling, lunches with friends, and time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by her three sons, five grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. Marcia was preceded in death by her husband Robert, her parents, and several other family members, with private family services to be held and a Celebration of Life planned for a later date.

Laura Mae Deal

Laura Mae Deal, 84, of Zanesville, passed away on June 14, 2025, at Willow Haven Care Center. Born in Zanesville on April 15, 1941, she was a 1959 graduate of Zanesville High School and retired from Brockway Glass after more than 25 years of service. Laura enjoyed reading, traveling, shopping, and caring for her family. She is survived by her husband of nearly 50 years, Chuck Deal, four daughters, 12 grandchildren, and 25 great-grandchildren.

John Bruce Stalder

John Bruce Stalder, 77, passed away on June 16, 2025, in Zanesville after a long illness. Born in Marietta, Ohio in 1947, he worked as an Aerospace Technologist for the US Air Force and Boeing before retirement. Stalder was nationally recognized as a gun enthusiast and gunsmith, and was previously involved with several organizations including the NRA and Ducks Unlimited. He is survived by his mother, wife Lynn, two daughters, several stepchildren, and multiple grandchildren and great-grandchildren, while his father and son-in-law preceded him in death.
