Good morning, Muskingum County. May marks a season of transitions across our community, with graduation ceremonies capturing the bittersweet blend of accomplishment and new beginnings. Coshocton and River View High Schools celebrated their seniors with pomp and nostalgia, honoring both the Class of 2025 and the Class of 1975 in ceremonies filled with tears, cheers and timeless wisdom about the doors of possibility that now stand open before these young graduates. Meanwhile, Zanesville High School's Blue Devils marked their own milestone moment as they turned their tassels and stepped toward their futures.

As warm weather brings more motorcycles to our roadways, local safety officials are sharing sobering statistics – Ohio has lost 1,000 lives to motorcycle crashes over just four years. National Motorcycle Safety Awareness Month serves as a critical reminder for both riders and drivers to practice heightened vigilance. For motorcyclists, proper training and helmet use can be lifesaving, while all motorists are urged to check blind spots and maintain safe distances during these busy summer months ahead.
