Good morning, Muskingum County. The halls of River View School District won't soon forget the impact of Tom Gable, whose nearly three-decade legacy of education and leadership has left an indelible mark on our community. The 85-year-old former history teacher and principal, who peacefully passed on May 4, transformed his retirement years into a second chapter of service—from welcoming guests at his bed and breakfast to volunteering with Cleveland's baseball organization, proving that some teachers never truly stop making a difference.

Technology is reshaping healthcare across our region with OhioHealth's $29.1 million CareConnect system creating unified medical records that follow patients wherever they go. Meanwhile, music enthusiasts should circle May 17 on their calendars as Newcomerstown honors legendary bandleader Manuel Yingling with a special celebration featuring a 20-piece professional concert band recreating his 1922 program—a fitting tribute to the local musician who once played alongside John Philip Sousa.
