Good morning, Montgomery County. The sky above Dayton isn't just for birds anymore. Joby Aviation, with its strong local connections, has secured a massive $250 million investment to advance its electric air taxi technology. This transportation revolution takes flight just as Wright State University launches a new scholarship providing up to $5,000 annually for active-duty military members, creating pathways for those who serve our country to simultaneously pursue their educational dreams.

Meanwhile, a sobering reminder of road safety comes after a suspected drunk driving incident sent three people to the hospital, including two children. While a 33-year-old man and 9-year-old boy have been released, a 5-year-old girl remains hospitalized following the collision at South Main and East Stewart streets. As investigators continue examining the June 3 crash, the incident underscores the lasting consequences that can unfold in just moments behind the wheel.
