Good morning, Meigs County. The heart of community shines through in the Parkersburg Area Association of Realtors' generous $4,500+ donation to North Star Child Advocacy Center. This impressive fundraising effort, culminating at their Purse Bingo event, demonstrates how local professionals are stepping up to protect our region's most vulnerable children—proving that sometimes the most meaningful investments have nothing to do with property values.

Nostalgia meets modern entertainment as The Star Chamber Arcade brings classic gaming to Court Street in Athens, offering an alternative to traditional nightlife with unlimited play of beloved titles like Galaga and Donkey Kong. Meanwhile, Ohio University's regional campuses are celebrating remarkable enrollment growth, with a 3.6% increase pushing total student numbers above 30,000 across all locations. The expansion of nursing programs and enhanced student services signal bright prospects for higher education throughout our region.

🎮 Athens gets nostalgic gaming paradise on Court Street. The Star Chamber Arcade has opened with classic games like Galaga, Donkey Kong, and Ms. Pac-Man alongside newer options. Owner Nick Muntean, an Athens native, created the space to fill a gap in the community, offering unlimited gaming for $7-10 per hour. Beyond games, the venue features a bar and hard-scoop ice cream, positioning itself as an alternative to traditional Court Street nightlife. Muntean hopes the arcade serves as a "third space" where people of all ages can escape digital atomization and enjoy the sensory experience of arcade gaming.
