Good morning, Meigs County. Since 1947, a quiet literary powerhouse has been operating right in our backyard. Ohio University Press has been putting Athens on the global publishing map for over 75 years, producing dozens of scholarly works annually that reach readers from Australia to South Africa. Their commitment to African studies, Appalachian culture, and emerging scholars demonstrates that our small corner of Ohio has a surprisingly international reach.

Meanwhile, local innovation continues to thrive as Stirling Ultracold donates cutting-edge freezer technology to OU's Innovation Center, capable of chilling to a mind-boggling -100Β°C. And speaking of local talent, the Wahama High School marching band recently showcased their "Stained Glass" program at a regional competition, proving that artistic expression flourishes here in many formsβ€”from the written word to scientific advancement to musical performance.
