Good morning, Meigs County. April's quiet heroes don't wear capes—they leave legacies through organ, eye, and tissue donation. At OhioHealth O'Bleness Hospital, National Donate Life Month has spotlighted four tissue donors who've given the ultimate gift this year, while 38 placenta donors have created healing opportunities for patients in need. The human Donate Life ribbon formed by hospital staff stands as a powerful reminder that sometimes our greatest contribution happens after we're gone.

The Mid-Ohio Valley's cultural calendar is bursting at the seams this weekend. From children bringing "Hercules" to life at the Smoot Theatre to the soulful jazz classics of the Smoot House Band's free Sunday concert, entertainment options abound. Art lovers can explore the Toy and Doll Museum Exhibit, while theater enthusiasts choose between "The Cemetery Club" and "Oliver!" across local venues. With Jake Dunn and The Blackbirds rocking Adelphia Music Hall and Shenandoah performing at Peoples Bank Theatre, there's truly something for everyone.

🫀 Life-saving heroes celebrated at OhioHealth O'Bleness Hospital this April. The hospital partnered with Lifeline of Ohio to honor organ, eye, and tissue donors during National Donate Life Month through various awareness activities. In 2024, four tissue donors from O'Bleness contributed to life-saving transplants, while 38 placenta donors helped create healing grafts for patients in need. Hospital staff formed a human Donate Life ribbon at a special ceremony, symbolizing support for donor families and transplant recipients. Community members are encouraged to register as donors online or at the Ohio BMV to continue this life-changing legacy.
