Good morning, Meigs County. In a heartwarming display of community spirit that would make Mr. Rogers proud, the Mason County Family Resource Network has been working overtime to spread joy and support. Their December initiatives touched hundreds of lives, from playing Santa to 286 children to distributing over 1,100 pounds of clothing to families in need. Now that's what we call starting the year with open hearts and helping hands.
Speaking of local heroes, the Mason County Chamber is on a mission to spotlight our community's brightest stars through their 2025 First Impressions Awards. From creative building makeovers to young entrepreneurs making waves, they're searching for the people and projects that make our corner of Appalachia shine. With eight categories up for grabs, it's time to give those hometown innovators their moment in the spotlight.
