The Mason County Career Center's Agriculture Mechanics team proudly clinched first place at the West Virginia Career Development Event, held in Morgantown on December 12 and 13—marking a first for the chapter in its 50-year history. With a strong team composed of seniors Breena Clutter and Braxton Blaine, along with juniors Brody Proffitt and Chloe Patrick, the victory qualifies them for the national competition set for October 2025 in Indianapolis. In individual standings, Braxton finished third, while Breena, Brody, and Chloe also demonstrated impressive performances. Their advisor, Sam Nibert, praised their dedication and hard work, emphasizing the confidence boost and precedent this achievement sets for future teams at the center.
