Good morning, Marion County. Ohio's culinary scene is stepping into the spotlight as the Restaurant & Hospitality Alliance opens voting for its prestigious annual awards. With nearly 300 nominations across categories from Restaurant of the Year to Server of the Year, it's your chance to champion local favorites until September 30. The celebration highlights what many of us already know—the Buckeye State's food and drink landscape deserves recognition for both the faces greeting you at the door and the talent behind the scenes.

In creative news, a homegrown animated series is proving imagination flourishes beyond coastal cities. "Gabriel and the Guardians," developed by Delaware-based Jason Moody, secured a $2 million tax credit through Ohio's film program. The fantasy series, drawing inspiration from biblical Genesis with Lord of the Rings vibes, showcases central Ohio's creative potential. Meanwhile, authorities are investigating after a body was discovered in Westerville's Hoover Reservoir, with officials working to determine circumstances surrounding the tragic finding.
