Marion County • August 28, 2025
Good morning, Marion County. Fall is officially settling in across Ohio, and Harvey School's upcoming "Autumn Abundance" festival perfectly captures the season's essence. On September 7, the historic one-room schoolhouse transforms into a celebration of harvest traditions with apple pressing, prairie walks, and seasonal crafts. Between sampling apple treats and learning about native pollinators, visitors might find themselves transported to a simpler time when schoolhouses like this were the heart of rural communities.
While you're embracing autumn's arrival, the Marion Library is hoping you'll consider a different kind of harvest—clearing out your gently used books and puzzles. These donations support the library's vital programs through their BookMarket and annual sale. Meanwhile, the region's culinary scene is getting well-deserved recognition, with 29 Northwest Ohio restaurants vying for the Ohio Restaurant & Hospitality Alliance's prestigious awards. Local flavor has never tasted so good.
