Good morning, Marion County. The scorching heat couldn't dampen the spirits at Ohio Stadium this weekend as the 10th annual Buckeye Country Superfest transformed Columbus into country music central. Kane Brown's pyrotechnic finale and Jelly Roll's emotional performance—complete with a surprise appearance by Kevin James—had fans on their feet despite the sweltering temperatures. The sight of performers donning Ohio State gear created an instant connection with the packed crowd as country sounds blended with rock and pop influences.

Transit improvements are on the horizon as COTA develops its Line 30 bus route connecting Dublin, Hilliard, and Upper Arlington to Ohio State University. The September 2026 launch could reshape commutes for suburban residents, with a community meeting scheduled for Tuesday at Kingsdale Shopping Center. Meanwhile, the Moritz family continues their quest for accountability regarding a $30 million endowment to OSU's law school, pushing for legislation after their latest attempt failed in the state budget process.

🚌 New bus route promises smoother commutes for Columbus suburbs. 💰 Ohio rejects law allowing donors to sue over misused endowments. The Moritz family's latest attempt to change state law barring benefactors from suing colleges failed, despite multiple Senate approvals. Jeff Moritz discovered Ohio State University never provided the 30 annual law scholarships his father's $30 million endowment was intended to fund, while the fund's value decreased significantly. OSU disputes these claims, stating they've committed to funding 30 Moritz scholars annually since 2020. Lawmakers plan to introduce the issue as a standalone bill after the budget passes.
