Good morning, Marion County. Delaware's housing crisis has sparked a community-wide response, with city officials highlighting the need for 11,000 new units annually just to keep pace with growth. At a recent Strand Theatre panel following "Beyond the Bridge," experts explored innovative solutions—from zoning reforms to leveraging financial incentives—all aimed at addressing what City Manager Paul Brake describes as a widespread affordability challenge affecting communities across Ohio.

The rhythm of local life continues with thunderous excitement as Metallica is set to electrify Historic Crew Stadium at next year's Sonic Temple festival. Meanwhile, rural fire safety gets a meaningful boost with Worthington Township Fire Department near Butler receiving a $3,000 grant for essential equipment. They're among 90 rural departments sharing over $562,000 in state funding—critical support for communities with fewer than 10,000 residents protecting against wildfires with limited resources.
