Good morning, Marion County. Talk about a victory lap! Marion, Ohio has officially been crowned the strongest town in America, beating out 15 competitors across North America. The community-wide enthusiasm that propelled Marion to victory—from newspaper coverage to after-school clubs rallying support—proves what we already knew: this town doesn't just have strength, it has heart. Soon, two local representatives will jet off to Rhode Island to collect the well-deserved hardware.

Meanwhile, a crucial safety initiative is taking shape locally. The Marion County Board of DD has partnered with the Victims Assistance Program and Sheriff's Office to host a Situational Awareness Workshop on May 13. The free event will equip people with developmental disabilities with essential safety skills—from recognizing potential dangers to navigating online spaces securely. Lunch is included, but don't forget to register at marioncountydd.org if you'd like to attend.
