🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Kilts and caution

Marion County • April 10, 2025

Good morning, Marion County. Mark your calendars for April 26 when kilts will swirl and bagpipes will sound at Aspire Ministries' "Kilts for a Cause" fundraiser. This Scottish-themed evening promises authentic entertainment while supporting families in crisis throughout our community. Meanwhile, artistic souls have a chance to make their mark—and earn $500—by designing a new logo for the Marion Women's Club, which is looking to blend its 130-year legacy with contemporary flair.

In less fortunate news, a 75-year-old driver learned the hard way that U-turns require careful execution. Ronald Callahan was injured Sunday night after his Lincoln Continental struck an embankment during an attempted maneuver on state Route 65. While the vehicle sustained only minor damage, the incident serves as a reminder that control behind the wheel is essential at any age.
