🩻 Screening saves

Marion County • April 3, 2025

Good morning, Marion County. The statistics are sobering: colorectal cancer rates are climbing 1-2% annually in adults under 50, now accounting for 10% of all cases. OhioHealth is stepping up to combat this trend with twice-weekly screenings at their Marion Medical Campus. Dr. Bhatt's message is clear – early detection saves lives, making these Monday and Friday appointments potentially life-changing for many families in our community.

Meanwhile, Marion's technological future is brewing – quite literally – at The Dock at Bucci's this Tuesday. Ohio State professor Qudsia Tahmina will serve up innovative ideas for "Engineering a Better Marion" during the latest Buckeye Talks on Tap event. Starting at 5:30 p.m., attendees can enjoy food and drinks while exploring practical technologies that could transform our community's ecosystem. It's a perfect blend of academic expertise and local conversation that might just spark Marion's next chapter of innovation.
