Good morning, Jackson County. Interstate 77 became the scene of a dramatic incident when a blown tire sent a North Carolina-plated truck tumbling near Mineral Wells. The violent rollover scattered debris across the highway and sent two people to the hospital, though thankfully with non-life-threatening injuries. Meanwhile, another traffic incident on Gihon Road in Parkersburg involved three vehicles and resulted in three people requiring medical transport, temporarily closing the road Monday afternoon.

As our community navigates these traffic challenges, there's a transition of leadership happening in our education system. The Wellston School Board has selected Scott Dorne as their new superintendent during a special session Tuesday evening. Dorne, currently serving as deputy superintendent of Westerville City Schools, will soon take the helm of the Wellston City School District, bringing fresh leadership to our local education landscape.

๐Ÿšš Blown tire sends truck tumbling down Interstate 77. Two people were hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries after their North Carolina-plated truck rolled multiple times on I-77 northbound near Mineral Wells, West Virginia. The crash occurred when the vehicle's rear driver-side tire blew out near mile marker 166, close to the Mineral Wells rest area. Emergency crews from Wood County Sheriff's Office and local fire departments responded to the scene, where both left lanes were shut down. The truck driver remained conscious and alert despite the violent rollover that scattered debris across the interstate.
