Good morning, Jackson County. The temperature isn't the only thing heating up this springโ€”Wellston High School's 135th Alumni Banquet is preparing a feast fit for royalty with prime rib, turkey breast, and a full dessert bar on the menu for May 24th. At just $25 per ticket, alumni will reconnect over beef Wellington bites and coconut chicken while celebrating their shared history in the halls of their alma mater.

From mythological heroes to potential archaeological discoveries, contrasting stories are unfolding across our region. Young actors have a chance to bring "Hercules" to life at the Smoot Theatre's upcoming production, with auditions open to K-12 students on April 21st. Meanwhile, in a more sobering development, authorities in Scioto County are carefully investigating what may be human remains discovered near South Websterโ€”a sensitive investigation that reminds us of the varied realities that make up our community's daily news.
