🌟 Rising Stars

Jackson County • January 14, 2025

Good morning, Jackson County. In an era when "quiet quitting" makes headlines, two local students are doing quite the opposite. Nevaeh Moten and True King are lighting up the Washington County Career Center with the kind of enthusiasm that makes career counselors smile, collecting certifications and touchdowns with equal vigor. These January Students of the Month remind us that excellence knows no boundaries - whether in a hospital room or on a construction site.

The leadership ladder isn't just for students, though. Our own Tiffany Ridgeway is climbing the rungs at the state level, taking on a prestigious role with the County Auditors Association of Ohio. Meanwhile, our sheriff's deputies are proving that rural law enforcement requires the versatility of a Swiss Army knife - handling everything from icy road rescues to maintaining peace in our communities, one challenging shift at a time.
