Good morning, Hocking County. Mother Nature's annual color show is about to take center stage as the Hocking Hills region prepares for a spectacular autumn weekend. Mark your calendars for October 25-26, when the ODNR hosts two special fall events featuring wagon rides through the forest, educational displays, and even historical reenactments of 1790s frontier life—perfect opportunities to witness Ohio's breathtaking fall foliage while learning about our unique local ecosystem.

Beyond the natural beauty, our region's creative talent continues to flourish. Over 25 Ohio University students recently gained invaluable hands-on experience at the Nelsonville Music Festival, operating professional equipment worth $210,000 and handling everything from camera work to sound mixing. This real-world training prepares them for media careers while contributing to one of our area's most celebrated cultural events. In more serious news, local authorities have made an arrest in an ongoing child exploitation investigation, demonstrating continued vigilance in protecting our community's most vulnerable members.
