Good morning, Hamilton County. The historic Purple People Bridge is getting a splash of burgundy and rosé this Friday. Brighton Center's Wine Over Water fundraiser transforms the iconic crossing into a festival of fine wines, local brews, and delectable eats from neighborhood establishments. With Elizabeth Walters providing the soundtrack against Cincinnati's skyline, the event promises to deliver both spectacular views and vital support for 47 community programs helping Northern Kentucky families achieve self-sufficiency.

Meanwhile, contrasting fortunes play out across the county's restaurant and real estate scenes. While Dolly's struggles to fill Frisch's former footprint with notably empty dining rooms and concerning health violations, a remarkable piece of Cincinnati history has captivated buyers. The 1820s Italianate carriage house in Prospect Hill, masterfully reimagined with a stunning glass courtyard and rooftop deck, showcases how historic preservation can create truly extraordinary living spaces.

🍔 Dolly's restaurant chain struggles to fill empty Frisch's shoes. Five months after promising to open 50+ locations in Cincinnati, the Big Boy Restaurant Group is operating just four Hamilton County stores with strikingly low customer counts. Site visits revealed nearly empty dining rooms, with one location having just a single diner at dinner time. The company's landlord has yet to finalize leases for 28 planned locations, while health inspections uncovered 20 violations including a salmonella case that couldn't be conclusively linked to the restaurant. CEO Tamer Afr has not responded to multiple requests for comment.
